Drake at #8 on Pitchforks top 50 list? Talk about boring. I don’t want to be indielitist, but Pitchfork’s acceptance and promotion of mainstream music has gone too far. Can’t go any further into the subject or else I’ll blow a gasket.
Never said “indie music is better,” if you pay attention to other stuff I’ve written I take that shit to task all the time (often, because it is boring and just has a facade of being “better”). I do like mainstream music, and was merely pointing out how disappointed I am in PItchfork’s promotion of mainstream artists who don’t deserve it. Drake is music for emotional 16 year old girls, not top 10 albums of the year shit. WTT was better, even if it was just MBDTF-lite. Neither are really that good.
